Press release – NBCUniversal
"LAW & ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT" SOLD TO LOCAL BROADCAST STATIONS IN MORE THAN 90% OF THE U.S.
Award Winning Procedural Available For A Double-Run In Weekday Syndication Beginning Fall 2011
New York, NY—February 14, 2011-- NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution has sold "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" to local broadcast stations for Monday thru Friday syndication beginning Fall 2011, it was announced today by Sean O’Boyle, Executive Vice President, Syndication Sales, NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution.
“Law & Order: Criminal Intent,” which has been sold in more than 90% of the U.S. to leading station groups that include FOX, CBS, Sinclair, Hearst, LIN and Local TV, is being offered to local broadcast stations as a two-hour block—this is the first time in more than a decade that a procedural drama has been offered to stations to program back-to-back.
“‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ is a winning and durable franchise that will provide broadcasters and advertisers an alternative to the sameness that exists in Mon-Fri syndication,” said O’Boyle. “And by providing two episodes each day, we are giving stations the ability to program a block and create a destination for their viewers and advertisers."
Season 9 of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” on USA was #1 in its Tuesday 10-11pm time period (excluding sports) in Household ratings and with key Women demographics (W18-49 and W25-54.) In addition, “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” is currently the highest rated program on MyNetwork TV.
"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," produced by Wolf Films and Universal Cable Productions, is created and executive produced by Emmy®-award winning producer Dick Wolf and developed by Rene Balcer. “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” is distributed in the U.S. and Canada by NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.
