How could they mention Elliot Spitzer? Isn't their governor supposed to be Shalvoy, as established in the mothership?

Maybe there is a different governor in the Criminal Intent universe??? Just kidding, mentioning Spitzer as they did is a major continuity problem.
I was wondering what that episode of Criminal Intent had Jim Gaffigan in it.i would download law and order if i could get the name of that episode.I think he played a serial killer in one and that was the one I was looking for.
imdb.com has Jim Gaffigan in two episodes of LOCI, one was "Smile" from 2007 and the other was "Dead" fro 2002. I think by the story line you described, you could be looking for the episode "Dead."
