Why is is no one comments on SVU much any more? Have we all become tired of it? I found myself not even wanting to bother. I think I watch the show out of sheer habit but after it's over I don't have much to say except criticize. Is it time to step back from watching for me?

This episode was better than most this season. This season has been very hit-or-miss, and I am a bit disappointed about that because this anniversary season should have been better by now, in my opinion.

So far, the current seasons of the Original and OC have been great, but SVU has been sometimes a dud for me (hopefully it improves).

I can respect that this was a favorite for fans. For me there wasn't much that I liked:
- Felt the ep leaned too heavily into the gore and I'm usually ok w that in a story. But it felt unrelenting in this ep.

-  For me there was a lot i found contentious abt Liv and the way she goes abt this thing w Maria.

-   And ugh, if only there was a way to report fictional psychologists lol.

-  This ep left me feeling how I did at the start of the season which is that Liv should be on medical leave or at the very least under more formal monitoring at work- not a check in here and there from Fin who would no doubt cover for her rather than stop her from hurting herself or others. And it *is* starting to feel like Liv is a danger to herself and others. That a medical leave hasn't, at the bare minimum, been strongly suggested is on my list of concerns re her psychologist. I'll spare readers the rest of the list

-  The scene w her going under the car could hv been written better if they were trying to showcase her as industrious/tenacious. Instead I felt she came off more condescending and inappropriate. At the very least, the scene landed as ridiculous.

Of course, these are just my own squabbles. The ep seems to hv been very well received by viewers so definitely a win for the show. Just not my thing and too much I found problematic tho the gist of the case itself i thought was okay. I can't think of an ep this season that stands out as great for me. Personally, I am apathetic re the remaining eps. But that's just 1 viewer. The resounding feeling from what I've seen seems to be a 2 thumbs up so good for them.

One of my favorite past episodes of SVU was the original Maria episode, 911 I believe was the name of the episode (season 7 episode 3), and I have always hoped for a follow up on that story line. I was so excited that they brought Maria back because I always wondered about her character and where she would have ended up in her life. That was my favorite part about this entire episode. I had some of my own thoughts about how Maria would have turned out and how she would have reunited with Oliva but I am not a writer and my input would have been of no value so with that being said, I'm just so happy they brought her back, period.
