Well, as annoying as the Noah storyline is, anything that gets Benson less screentime gets an A in my book.
Besides that, the episode itself sounds interesting.

Alex! Oh wow! I thought I HAD to be crazy for a second. It's definitely reassuring to know I'm not the ONLY one that finds the Noah storyline horrendously annoying.

MRD- I wouldn't mind it half as much if it wasn't so contrived. Judges handing out babies like Oprah gives out cars? Yeah okay. If Benson had just gone through an actual adoption agency or something, I'd be irritated but not this much.

I'm happy to wait and see how it plays out.

After all Stabler's family issues got a fair bit of screen time.

It's all going to depend on the balance.

I think the first episode there will probably be a fair bit of Olivia/Noah but hopefully after that it will be dialled down.

Time will tell.

Not a fan of Noah('s arch) either :/ I don't mind Olivia being a mom but I prefer it would be handled off-screen. If Noah can make Liv a less bitter character then it's a good thing but I dread watching cuddle every frickin episode.

Nick back in a uniform eh? Okay I do want him back at SVU but it does suit him :)

Glad to see Barba in this episode because IMDB (which often can be wrong) listed Raul Esparza as "credit only" and also gave this first episode another title. The more Barba the better!

The baby is a bad story line. Viewer from Canada

Yes the Noah storyline is beyond annoying its also stupid. I have been a fan of Warrens but this choice to make Benson a Mommy is Clearly his way to Pander to the Olivia Stans and make them like him. So now all of Olivias PTSD issues are magically done now that she is a Mommie cuz you know thats how real life is.

In my opinion, too much focus on the baby is a mistake. If something happens to Noah, fans will be upset. If nothing happens to Noah, the fans will still be upset because it will look like the show is stooping to an overused plot device of the lead's child being in danger. Either way they lose. I don't mind Benson having the kid - despite the silly way she got custody of Noah - but I am getting tired of all the drama in Benson's life. It's about as bad as it was with the Stabler family drama, which I abhorred. I used to watch SVU for the interesting takes on the crimes and the legal story lines. Now I watch it to see how bad it can get. I suppose if NBC gets the eyeballs for the advertisers they don't care why people watch it, but it is a darn shame that the quality is on the decline. True fans will stick with the show but that doesn't mean that we like what's happening to SVU.

I've always considered myself a "true fan", but I really don't see myself watching this time around for ANY reason. Like yo said, Laurie, NBC won't care WHY people watch as long as they watch. The only way I think someone will get a fire lit under them is if we DON'T watch. So that's what I'm doing. Hopefully other people will too, if they also dislike what's being done to the show.
