This episode actually looks great.

Like the last episode, it seems as if the writing really picked up this season. It sure lacked during last season.

This looks good. Looks like Rollins have a gambling problem. She did mention in the Personal Fouls episode that she lost a ton of money on a basketball game. I hope we get a lot of Fin in the episode too.

@sunshinez1975- She also mentioned in " Educated Guess," that something simliar to what happened to Gia is the reason why she left Georgia.

Plus in the promo it looks as if she's getting attacked.

I think "Home Invasions" may be Kelli Giddish's "coming out" episode, lot of folks are "ehh" when it comes down to Giddish.

She's not a bad actress, she played a victim on the show in season 8 episode "Outsider" but this episode (like "Father's Shadow") looks like it's gonna be a great one.

Wish SVU or CSI (CSI) would move off Wednesday, I'm tired of SVU being low in the 18-49 demo/total # of viewers.

I don't know if all of them are. If you go to the televisionwithoutpity svu site. Most of the members there don't seem to have anything really bad to say about neither Amanda Rollins or Kelli Giddish. And THIS is from the site that turns almost any nitpick about Olivia Benson and blows it WAY out of proportion.

I don't think her acting ability is the problem on this show. I think its her lack of chemistry with the rest of the squad. I'm hoping next weeks episode actually reveals that there was an intentional reason for that.

I agree that she seems to lack a certain chemistry with the rest of the cast. I really liked her US Marshall Annie Frost in that short-lived NBC series Chase. Her characterization was very good, and she seemed to have lots of chemistry with her fellow actors. She's snapped at Det Amara several times in SVU, making me wonder if the writers are trying to recreate the Benson/Stabler dynamic. They had each other's backs for 12 years, but they did disagree on some levels and weren't afraid to show their differences. CM and MH's natural chemistry would be very hard to recreate, though they may try with KG and DP in the long run. Since his character seems reasonably happily married, that seems unlikely. I hope this new development in Rollins character will beef up the role, though.

@Oh susannah- The writers are not trying to recreated the Benson/ stabler dynamic. What's done is done, you can't recreated something built up over 12 years...

@Josh Morton- No I don't think she's gay. That would never be a cause to have her job put on the line.

The promos show that she's being attacked.

@Icy- Josh did not say, Kelli was gay. He meant it as her, breakout role.

@Icy – I think you misunderstood what she’s saying. Of course it’s impossible to recreate exactly the relationship that Benson had with Stabler. However, I think it’s more than fair to say that they are trying to create a relationship between Amaro and Rollins that is similar to that of Stabler and Benson in an attempt to fill the void left with the departure of Meloni. They know Mariska won’t be on the show forever and they’re looking to the future. And as sunshinez1975 pointed out, the phrase “coming-out” isn’t strictly used in a homosexual sense, as that obviously is not what Josh meant.

But seriously, what is with your incessant need to constantly contradict the opinions of others?

Icy said...

@laura- I'm not incesantly trying to contradict any opinion of what everyone else is say..

You are totally misinterpting what I mean. I'm just adding my own opinions. It's called conversation not to be mean. I'm adding my own disagreements and agreements in.

No need to be harsh, or pick on me for that matter. I certainly don't do that to others. I repect what everyone else thinks. It's rude for you to comment like that.

That was something you should have kept to yourself, just saying.

@Icy - I’m not trying to pick on you. All I’m saying is that many of the things you’ve posted on this site are just to tell someone else that they’re wrong. You don’t state it as if it’s simply your opinion but as if what you’re saying is fact. I don’t have a problem with you having a different opinion, but you shouldn’t tell people they are wrong for holding theirs. That’s all.

@Icy- Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but you constantly reply to everyone's comment who think differently of you. The one thing everyone has in common is that we are fans of the show, want to see good drama, and want the show to continue. So, chill will you.
