Okay episode, but Muncy still is not enjoyable.

The episode was interesting. Muncy is a huge drawback though. She was annoying in this episode and acted childish and sounded whiny like a juvenile. Again, she dresses like a slob. I don't know why Benson hasn't reminded her about that. As far as I am concerned they need to drop that character fast, she is awful.

Weird that Muncy picked up that licorice wrapper without gloves

The episode was good, Eliot's return was great.

I haven't watched this show in a while. Last episode I would hv seen would hv been early in the Fall. That being said, I found myself enjoying this episode like I used to years ago. Because I haven't seen SVU in a while watching this ep made me feel like it was S13 all over again w new faces to get to know. I had no idea abt this 2nd female detective, for example. And although I don't think irl an ADA would be moving around w a captain almost like a detective I hv to say I was enjoying the sort of throwback to Carisi and Benson working cases. Idk maybe something I'd nitpick watching more regularly but I was fine w it in the ep.

Re: Muncy, she wasn't bothering me at all. I guess the angst w her requires watching the other eps but nothing upsetting struck me about her here. I wasn't affected by her clothing at all. I didn't even notice it. The only real trouble I was having was in following some case, either in her time at SVU or prior, that they kept alluding to. It seems like it was upsetting for her- no sweet clue what any of that was abt.

Idk if I can explain this well but having grown absolutely weary of this show and the way they were telling stories it's nice to hv the nostalgia of not only enjoying this ep but looking fwd to the next one. Even when I was still watching I wasn't 'pressed' to see it. I watched the new ep when I had a chance. More often than not there was a lot to irk me. It's been a while since I hv felt anxious to see the next ep to see how things play out.

Not reading toooo much into that tho. I hv found w shows in general premieres and finales are usually excellent, out-of-the-park eps. I will say I am intrigued enough to tune in for a few eps in the Fall. I never thought I'd be watching again. I'm sure the Fall premiere will be great story-telling as well. I'll see how it goes after that.
