Features on Law & Order, SVU, OC From TV Guide Magazine
From the May 8, 2023 issue of TV Guide Magazine, here are feature stories for Law & Order, Law & Order SVU, and Law & Order Organized Crime, on the upcoming final episodes of the season for these shows. (Click on image for a larger view.)
I'll give the show this much: I do really, really want to watch the season finale. I've had issues with the amount of personal life-case intersection we've had this season. Unlike season 8 where there were some personal-ish things going on in the background or shown in the foreground (Lennie's daughter, Jack's appearance before a disciplinary committee, Jamie's custody issues, Rey's wife's MS), most of these were independent of the cases (Jack's obviously being the huge exception).
That said, I'm very happy Sam Waterston got to act alongside his daughter. I wonder if we'll even get a comment or two about the ex-Mrs. McCoy. I remember Jack being on the phone with her in season 19 during his campaign so they seem not to be in an acrimonious relationship at this point?
I am a bit fearful about revealing his "personal politics." Like... are we talking party affiliation or just his stance on any number of issues, which is not new. If it's party affiliation, I guess I'm not too thrilled with that since it wasn't particularly made explicit that Adam Schiff and Nora Lewin were Democrats (at least I assume if Adam was a fictionalized Robert Morgenthau). I know Arthur Branch was explicitly a Republican so...
