Price and Maroun are inconsistent prosecutors. This should have been a slam dunk win.

@Shane - I agree. There's something seriously lacking on the legal side of these episodes lately.

I can see why the Mothership hasn’t been renewed yet. This show has been so inconsistent in the minor and major details it’s not even funny. Calling Brady a Detective for example. 5 seasons in and I still don’t think they’ve ever truly found a rhythm. If by some miracle it is renewed for next season it needs a new show runner ASAP. It really seems to be the forgotten of all of Wolf’s shows like they’re just pumping out content to pump out content. Price and Maroun rank very solidly in past place when it comes to EADA/ADAs.

@Robert - I even wondered if the delay in renewal has to do with casting issues. They may not be sure who they want to keep (or who wants to stay?). Either way, they do need a shakeup in the legal side of the cast at minimum.

Tony Goldwyn is awesome in this show!! I would change the rest of the cast, though!

I agree with Chris that the legal side needs a shakeup, but I don’t think any of the actors are bad actors. I think it’s the writing, the material is not good. Rick Eid needs to be replaced.

We had this same issue with Season 18 of SVU and it feels like these last few years of the mothership revival have been SVU Season 18 x 5. I don’t understand how Dick Wolf does not see this. If he does not take corrective action as soon as possible, the mothership is going to end up like OC.

I personally think if Hugh Dancy were given material like Sam Waterson was back in the day, he has it in him to perform. I think it’s just the material is so surface level and it feels the same week to week that it’s making us despise the characters and question the actors.

Chris, do you think there is anything like that fans can do to get Dick’s attention? I feel terrible trying to lobby to get someone fired and to lose their job in this economy but this revival was a second chance for my favorite show and it’s just been horrible (I often only watch SVU now) and now we are on the verge of losing it again. Thanks for reading.
