Sigh. The Sanctimonious Benson Crossover. With a contrived plot to boot. I mean seriously why do they see the need to ruin of SVU’s best episodes? They bring back Maria just to show she made the best of her life to kill her off? I’m getting Peter Stone sister (Ben’s daughter) flashbacks of a sister we never knew anything about until it was needed for a story. It’s seriously the laziest of storytelling.
Too much Benson ruined it for me. I would have liked the crossover more had it not been the cop that was the child that Benson saved in "Mariska's Emmy Winning Episode" tm (trademark). Benson acted like a spoiled brat in this episode and she treated Lt. Brady badly. And then Benson botched it and her victim escaped and then got killed. I put that sloppy handling on Benson. Had it not been for so much Benson I would have liked the episodes. I'm going to also post this on the comments for Part 2 of the story because my sentiments were about the same.
