I gotta say, I completely loved the premiere. Yes, I do miss Chris, of course I do.
BUT that show, always my favorite in the Franchise, desperately needed a fresh start. And Warren Leight accomplished it with style and elegance.
Excellent story, pacing and dialogue! Stephanie March and Linus Roache as DAs that aren’t just bitchy! Olivia on the edge!
A series that feels REAL again!
A showrunner who obviously knows what he’s doing! ... and who I wanna smooch real hard. I love season 13 already.
The SVU premier was excellent, I thought. The last two minutes?Everything else in the episode were pretty much all leading up to the gut-wrenching scene when Cragen tells Liv Elliot has quit.I was dubious of the word 'gut-wrenching" when I read it. This show always hits me on a lot of emotional levels, so I was in doubt that it could wring anything new from this jaded viewer.lOl.So well- written and understated. No huge histrionics by Liv.Just quiet devastation that her worst fear was coming true. I was excited to read new showrunner Warren Leight's tweets/articles all summer long, but they outdid themselves. When can we expect your review/recap?I love those too!
