Law & Order Episode Information Week of April 5, 2009

There won’t be a new episode of Law & Order “The Mothership” this week, but there will be a new episode of SVU, and one for Law & Order UK for UK viewers. Law & Order UK appears to be concluding its first “series” with this next episode, and the remaining 7 episodes of the original order of 13 will be aired at some later date, not yet determined (I am not even sure they have been filmed). Here’s the information from NBC and ITV:

Law & Order UK “Alesha” Air Date April 6, 2009
A respected gynecologist is accused of sexually assaulting a patient during a routine examination, but Brooks, Devlin and Chandler struggle to find any firm evidence and the team becomes divided. Crown Prosecutor Alesha Phillips refuses to accept defeat and takes on formidable defense barrister Phyllis Gladstone. Last in the series, guest starring Derek Riddell and Lesley Manville, with Bradley Walsh, Jamie Bamber, Harriet Walter and Freema Agyeman

My recap and review of Law & Order UK "Alesha" can be found here.

Law & Order SVU “Baggage” Air Date April 7, 2009
THE BRUTAL MURDER OF AN ARTIST LEADS THE DETECTIVES TO A LONG STRING OF MURDERS BY AN UNTRACEABLE SERIAL KILLER.

After an up-and-coming artist is brutally murdered in her apartment, Detectives Odafin Tutuola (Ice-T) and Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) link her death to another unsolved murder case. As they pursue the case further, they realize that these two murders have striking similarities to a string of murders by a mysterious serial killer that Detective Victor Moran has been following for months. Moran fights to keep his control over the case as Detectives Fin and Stabler struggle to find the killer. Also starring: Richard Belzer (Detective John Munch), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Stephanie March (ADA Alexandra Cabot), Tamara Tunie (Dr. Melinda Warner).

Here's hoping Alesha won't be in the Dr. Olivet role, since this seems to be based on Season 3's "Helpless."
