I'm really late in commenting. This episode was very predictable, I figured out it was the husband right off the bat. I have to say one thing able SVU this season and last: the cast has zero chemistry. ZERO. I can't even remember the new detectives name and honestly either her acting or her character is bland. I should be worried about Carisi and his issues but I find myself not even caring about that. I could be running on empty with SVU,
Interesting episode, I expect most people worked out the Gisele Pelicot case inspiration. It really was ridiculous Benson sending Carusi out to do a police interview on a flimsy pretext. And that little ‘inspirational’ comment about the victim being on a ‘glorious’ new path was hideous - a truthfully written Benson would be empathetic, not glib.
