Stabler's a dirty cop.... Reminds me of the cop who beat me within an inch of my life when I was 11. I can't even watch reruns of the Stabler years without triggering flashbacks.

Stabler wasn't dirty, but he wasn't always a good cop. But what's he going to do with things the way they are in NYC right now-beat up the coronavirus?

@Jessica Norick - my memory isn't the greatest but i don't think Stabler murdered anyone. If you're talking about that final scene in the episose "Smoked" - that wasn't murder.

He didn't have to shoot that little girl. There were options. There's always options when dealing with a minor child.

He had no choice. She was about to shoot someone else. It wasn't murder. The real issue is that they should have screened anyone coming in to the squadroom so no one besides a police officer could bring in a gun.

He is evil. I just can't watch him. And that goes for anything else Chris Meloni does..... Every time I see him, I'm 11 years old again, having my head beaten with the butt of a neighborhood cop's revolver for not looking at him when he was talking to me

Chris meloni is an actor. Elliott is a fictional character. He was great as Elliott. Glad he will be back in that role.

LOL. Chris had options, while people were being shot to death in a police station. Yeah, one of those options was/is to take out the shooter. Which he did. I would have shot her too if it meant protecting the innocent bystanders and my fellow cops from a actual murderer (the shooter). Stabler isn't some crappy neighborhood cop from someone's childhood experiences. Stabler is a great actor and his character was/is awesome and along with Benson, he made the show what it was/is.
