good points. i was infuriated by the fact that they didn't investigate what happened with the fight in the beginning. mackenzie clearly has anger management/violence issues on top of everything else and this went on undiagnosed with no further mention of it. i also thought the ending was ridiculously unrealistic - they didn't have a shread of evidence that they had sex before they got married, not sure they would even let it go to trial, and not even the most emotional jury could possibly convict based on that. the defense attorney who was such a shark throughout suddenly folds because of benson's brilliant idea. i will disagree with you on the last scene though - it had me in tears as someone who lost a parent at a young age. great acting and important words of wisdom. i didn't think it was inappropriate for benson to speak to her after case was closed. kudos to svu for tackling the far too common issue of child marriages in the u.s.
