Part of me really doesn't fancy this storyline. It feels like its going to be shoving what I already know down my throat. It doesn't look like there will be much in the way of investigating. Don't get me wrong I love a good court case episode but if it's going to be 40 minutes of ignorant idiots dismissing male rape then I can't see me enjoying it.
That said, I'm glad they are showing this episode. While us long term fans will probably be a little bored, if just one member of the public sees this episode and it changes their view, then it's more than worth it.
Hopefully with this ep we'll learn more about Sonny
I get what you're saying @Laura J, let's hope they do a good job with the important message.
With the long hiatus I think I'll just be happy to see Barba, Carisi, Nick & Amanda (where's Fin though!!!!) back on my TV. I hope they don't underuse Nick & Amanda as much as in the last episode, I snoozed through some of that episode though (it was so boring!) so I might've missed something.
When I saw this promo I was like 'hey so Sonny's sister is engage to a (former?) mental patient' as I recognized him from Educated Guess but then to my disappointment I see he's playing another character. What's this with recycling guest stars? Kelli & Peter became detectives, will Chernus too? No but seriously, I kinda wish he would've played the same character but then again it might be tricky enough to prove a man getting raped, being an ex-con as well. Mental issues might've made the case - sadly enough - impossible to win or even proceed with?
