  1. I have a very weird, sinking feeling about this. I will however try to keep an open mind. Since they want to create some mystery, I hope it's nothing cliche or corny.

    Have we lost ADA Barba?

  2. @Cardinal - I think every showrunner wants to make their mark and I suspect that Michael Chernichin is doing the same. Not sure about Raul, I think he's with the show (for now?) but they weren't very specific about how he and and Philip Winchester's Peter Stone will fit in. I really like Raul and I also like the addition of "Peter Stone" and all I can hope is that we get both. It's better than only have Raul what seemed like half the time last season!

  3. Again, as long as the main cast isn't tampered with, I'll be perfectly content. I love Brooke Shields, can't wait for Season 19!

  4. I'm thrilled Philip Winchester is joining SVU. I loved Chicago Justice and felt strongly it should have had a season 2. Many shows had ratings way lower then Justice but they were renewed.I couldn't figure out why Dick Wolf was not standing by the new show and Winchester. Now I feel happy about the coming changes. I also am a huge Barba fan and expect that Raul will stick with the show. He has such high regards for Mariska and enjoys working with her.

  5. I'm very concerned about the addition of "Peter Stone", especially since it's in the 2nd half of the season. Does this mean if SVU comes back for a 20th year, which I know both NBC and Dick Wolf really want to push for to tie the original Law and Order's record, that Raúl will not be there. SVU has NEVER had 2 REGULAR ADA's why now? Why with SUCH a popular guy such a Barba. EVERYONE loves him and is already annoyed that he's not on more. Now it appears he'll be on less? How could any of his fans possibly like this? I'm hoping upon hoping that Raúl has another TV show in the works. I know he loves Broadway but it seems to me that as of the last years he has been geared more towards moves and TV, so if anything, I hope that that's what's happening. As someone who doesn't live near NY (I'm a California girl) I would be happy for Raúl if he wanted to be back on Broadway and was able to get a show worthy of his talent, but oh so sad for me as I wouldn't be able to see him on a regular basis. I'd MUCH rather he get a leading role in a movie, or another series. That said, I know that he and Mariska are the BEST of friends and I believe she would look out for him. Still I'm worried about this change of events. Plus, does the addition of Brooke Shields mean that yet again, Carisi, Rollins, and Finn's characters will once again not have the character devleopment they deserve? Not real happy right now :(

  6. @Jamie Leigh Littlewolf: I would also be very sad to see Raul leave the show, unless, of course, he has a better gig or is doing something that he enjoys more. He adds such a spark to the show! But I'm also thrilled to have Philip Winchester on the show because he also would add another interesting character to the show. I want them both! I guess I want to have my cake and eat it too, as the saying goes.

I am keeping an open mind about Brooke Shields. I don't know what's in store for the show and I like that they appear to be trying to build some suspense. All we can do is wait and see and hope for the best.

  7. I saw a report saying that Brooke Shields' character is going to "cause trouble for" and "torment" Lt. Benson. THE SUSPENSE IS TOO MUCH!
