This case sounds VERY interesting to me...I just hope it doesn't destroy anyone's career or kill anyone off!
ReplyDeleteTalk is it will be more Barba centered so that worries me a bit since he's my second favorite character after Olivia...
I'm also hoping more data (leaks) will occur/be released before we FINALLY get to see it though easing my fears...JMO
I'm with you, JS. I'm hoping that nothing bad happens to Barba because he's the reason I still watch this show.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Jason Bowen makes another appearance. I wonder if they are seeing how fans receive his character for a possible promotion to series regular?
That's an interesting thought Amy^ (You might be right! I hope so anyway...LOL)...To replace Dodds maybe? I sure hope we get more info in the next 3 weeks tho...
ReplyDeleteThat would be Fine who will take D
ReplyDeleteMike Dodds position as Sergeant. One ep back mentioned he was studying for the Sgt's exam.
Ice T had a small arc originally, fans loved Fine so much that he was made a regular. Raul Esparza originally had a small arc too, Barba turned out to be a hit with fans, so Raul was upped to a series regular. I found it interesting that Jason Bowen is among the guest cast, because two series regulars (Ice and Raul) started out with small arcs before becoming permanent cast members.
Fin, my bad.
DeleteDarn autocorrect!
Fin was never not a regular character, besides his first episode in season 2...
DeleteThis is supposed to be Barba-centric episode but who would tell from the episode information. I hope it won't be more about other characters than him after all. We didn't learn anything new about Barba since season 16 while every other character was given development and more screen-time. He is rather popular and Raúl is competent actor so it's really mind-blowing that he is so underused. I hope they could tie his secret to Alex Munoz, his difficult relationship with father or those death-threats somehow. So there would be some continuity for a change.
ReplyDeleteI realized that I don't like any other character besides Barba anymore. Maybe Fin but he is barely there. Male half of the blond duo is still annoying as hell and the female half is slowly getting there too with her judgmental attitude towards mothers. And there is too much Olivia in most episodes. So some new blood is needed. That Jason Bowen's character looked very promising and interesting so I'm all for bringing him to the SVU.
This episode has now been moved to March 29.
ReplyDeleteThis episode has been bumped again. "Net Worth" will now air on 3/29; NBC has not released an air date as yet for "Know It All"
ReplyDeleteIDK but it almost seems like since sooo many fans/watchers of SVU are talking about #Barson & Barba's 'Secret', that NBC may be rewriting some of it and hold it as a cliff-hanger at the end of S18...If that is a reality, there BETTER BE A S19 is all I can say...
ReplyDeleteOne more thing...why hasn't NBC announced SVU's renewal yet? You know they already know whether or not it's a go...
Update March 14 - this episode is now scheduled to air on Aprl 5, 2017.
ReplyDeleteI'm really getting annoyed with all these GAPS in the Season and the changing of all the episode....JUST AIR THEM REGULARLY!!!! THINK OF THE FANS! DON'T KILL OFF BARBA!!!
ReplyDeleteIm really getting annoyed with all these GAPS in the Season and the changing of the episodes!! JUST AIR THEM REGULARLY!!! THINK OF THE FANS!!! DON'T KILL OFF BARBA!!!! It would ruin us (the fans) and the show would be nothing without Barba and Barson!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's prompting the speculation that Barba is in jeopardy? What did I miss?
ReplyDelete@Kevin - there has been talk that this episode focuses on Barba but if it does, it remains to be seen exactly how he's pulled into this. It could go back to an episode from season 17 - "Intersecting Lives" - where Barba worked a case against a corrections office and later, on the courthouse steps, he is threatened. They never closed the loop on that story line and I think some fans think the episode might relate to that. There's also been general speculation that Barba is hiding some big secret and it will come out. Who knows...I guess we will all have to tune in and watch!
ReplyDeleteThanks. For what it's worth, I've thought from the start that Barba is gay. No particular reason. I had the same hunch about Southerlyn. So, I was right before.
