Yesterday, I posted on my TV blog an NBC press release which announced the premieres of some new comedies. Included in that press release was the following information regarding Law & Order SVU:
“Rock Center with Brian Williams” will also move one hour later on Wednesdays (to 10-11 p.m. ET) starting March 7 for five weeks and then return to 9-10 p.m. (ET) on April 11. “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” returns with original episodes on Wednesday, April 11 (10-11 p.m. ET) leading to its season finale on May 23rd.
What this really means is no NEW episodes of Law & Order SVU will be airing in March and for the first week of April. During that time, Law & Order SVU will continue to air repeats on Saturdays at 10PM and on some Wednesdays, but in the 9:00 PM time slot. Here’s a tentative schedule of the repeats; remember, we’re talking NBC here so anything can still change:
(All repeats)
Saturday, March 3. 2012 10PM ET
Wednesday, March 7, 2012 9PM ET
Saturday, March 10, 2012 10PM ET
Wednesday, March 14, 2012 9PM ET
Saturday, March 17, 2012 10PM ET
Saturday, March 24, 2012 10PM ET
Saturday, March 31, 2012 10PM ET
Saturday, April 7, 2012 10PM ET
The episode names have not been released at this time. Don’t forget, there are two new episodes set to air in February:
February 22, 2012 Law & Order SVU “Hunting Ground”
February 29, 2012: Law & Order SVU, “Child’s Welfare”

The April episodes had better be good if we're going have to wait until then!
ReplyDeleteI hope these changes are to move SVU away from CSI so that it gets the ratings it deserves.
ReplyDelete@Janethyland- That isn't the case at all, a lot of shows don't have new episodes during the month of March.
ReplyDeleteThis is just done to see if they can ressurect the dying shows and peek the intrest up. Although it doesn't work.
This has nothing to do with SVU being up against CSI for ratings.
Icy, you dont have to contradict anything you think is remotely negative or not what you think. Its getting tedious. Others have remarked about this attitude you have.
ReplyDeleteI was not being negative. Also negative is often positive. We learn from both sides of an equation.
I was actually making a remark about unintended consequences.
You should leave people to have their own thoughts without constantly attacking them.
