I'm a little confused with this episode. Dd they close out the story that happened in the last episode and is this one completely unconnected? I've been having these bouts of confusion with OC last year and this year when they went away from the one story runs though the season theme. Are these all stand alone stories now or maybe one or two episode arcs? What am I missing? I do like the stories but I don't know whether I'm supposed to be getting invested in the story long term or not.

This Collective is very intriguing, but a bit too powerful. Interesting to see Vargas' part in it. Maybe he'll recognize the main guy eventually or something.

The "Eli becomes a cop" plot is BY FAR the weakest. It's as bad as the "Jet is sleeping with rocky marriage Reyes because she's traumatized the other guy was killed." Thankfully, that ended pretty fast.

As for Eli the cop, he did it only because he wanted to make Elliot proud (a profoundly dumb reason to do it). He didn't have the personality for it AT ALL. I'll admit though, the cliffhanger where he shot the kid was very compelling.

The Joe Jr. stuff is percolating a little too slowly, but I assume it will come to a head in the last episode. I assume The Collective will be finished up next week.

The episode was good. I prefer longer story-arcs, but I still love the show. Hopefully it's renewed!!!
