Excellent episode! And the fade to black to verdict was unexpected.I know it’s been used before in L&O but it’s been a while, anyone remember the last episode it was?

ReplyDeleteI honestly didn’t think they would go that route watching the episode. With how they were having concerns about the judge, I thought maybe they would find him guilty, and then the judge would have set aside the jury’s verdict. Also really enjoyed Price in this episode. He was much more like McCoy in the respect screw your reasoning you committed murder in cold blood and deserve to go to jail. No deals! Was this also the first time a case was done without one the main lead detectives? Interesting they kept Shaw out of this one. Perhaps scheduling conflicts with the actor? Again though, a solid episode!
I'm not surprised to see them do a RFTH episode on this, which turned me off a bit. Chasing down the perp seemed too easy and I had a hard time believing so many people would go out in identical style coats in the same are so fast. Not very realistic, I would have thought a longer search would have made more sense. I'm also not shocked that they cut off the verdict. They don't know how things will go in reality and they probably don't want to be accused of passing judgement on the "real-lfe" perp. They don't want to alienate viewers!
