  1. A great episode! I love this season and am looking forward to the next! I liked how intense and emotional the episode, and the rest of the season, was.

  2. Too little to late with OC. They needed more stories like this episode this season. As it's moving to Peacock next season, I may not watch any more, I'll have to think about it...

  3. I haven't been commenting on this show because I would hv just been repetitive. But I'll take a moment and count all the ways I love it:

The acting on OC is really good. Whether it's a main character doing smthg menacing or simply Eli calling home- every scene lands. I never lose the moment by noticing it's just someone acting and this goes a long way in helping me stay in the emotion of the moment- half the time holding my breath lol

Kudos to the show for giving us 2 very well-written senior-citizen characters! Stabler's Mom and Angus' mom are such different characters but equally compelling.

A scene I love from this ep is when Dhalia shows up at the house and says something like, "You make those wonderful honey things. It's so nice to finally meet you." Mama immediately retorts, "You harm my son, I'll gut you like a pig." LOL Ma gives warm energy at times but she is also way more terrifying than Angus. Mama/Ma don't play.

As for Angus, I like the complexity of this character. I was sure I didn't like him then started to root for him, then couldn't decide abt him. Now I'm hoping for his redemption. Chicago PD used to give you these more complex 'bad guys' as well. Angus has been interesting as a viewer trying to decide how much of a villain he truly is

I don't tend to like plots abt extended family mbrs. But I hv been really engrossed in the Stabler family drama this season. Never cared for it before S4 but it's fitting well in this season.

As they move full-time to streaming I just hope they don't make the mistake of Designated Survivor. It's 3rd season was done thru Netflix. Fun fact: Neal Baer was brought on as the showrunner for that season. The script screamed, "Hey look! We can cuss now". Really overdone. And the show tried too hard to be diff from the network version.

To me, OC has found its stride. It's not a top tier show for a L&O series. It's a top tier show period. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I hope they maintain the team behind this current season. They clearly know what they are doing and they hv been putting in the work. Sure, streaming offers some added liberties but hopefully they don't get so distracted w adding profanity and nudity that it diminishes the quality of the show.

I continue to love everything abt this season and wish it was double the number of episodes.
