Honestly, the best episode this season! I guess it takes Mariska Hargitay directing to have a decent episode to watch this season.

I am disappointed the Maddie story is continuing next episode. However, it seems like the episode will focus on the trial (a more law-centered episode), which I don't mind watching.

I had the opposite feeling about this episode. It was the worst. Where do I start? Why is Benson getting rid of Noah's books right before bed, and without asking him? I'm tired of the Maddie thing. Why was Benson in control of a hostage situation? Why did she have to whisper all the time? Worse yet, what was with the whole reenactment thing? Totally off the wall there and why did the former IAB captain seem to blow it off rather than report Benson? Why did Velasco go along with it? Benson is all over the place and are we supposed to think this is some sort of delayed PTSD? Where was Fin? The acting was AWFUL and the writing was horrible. I thought this was so bad that I can't even explain everything that's wrong with it.

Like Organized Crime, I don't care about anybody on this show any more. The cast seems to be a jumble and I can't connect with anyone in any way. It's off - way off!

It's a total hate-watch at this point. Benson is a rogue captain. She does too many things that seem unprofessional, leaving the DA to clean up her mess. Whether it's her tunnel vision and obsession on past cases, extreme lapses of good judgment, taking captured suspects for an unscheduled joy ride to scare them, or getting too hands-on with every case (certainly the opposite of desk jockey Cragen), the 25+ years in SVU has given IAB every right to remove her from that position.

I agree with all comments good and bad. I miss Cragen as Captain. I loved the old Benson not so much this new one and definitely not as Captain. I also agree with the whispering. It's annoying. And how did her acting go from good to just awful. The facial expressions are the worst. I never got on board with the whole Noah arc. I never got on board with her romance with Tucker. Just yuck. And, no, I am not rooting for an Elliott romance either. Also, yuck. Don't get me wrong, I think Stabler gets a lot of hate but I, personally, still like the guy. Just not as a love interest for Benson. I think they should have dealt more with the his leaving and closing out that chapter of their lives. The teasing of a future relationship is just getting ridiculous at this point. Let them be friends and move on already. These are all just minor annoyances and clearly just my opinion but still. The show is just not what it used to be and I am really trying to like it but I wouldn't be sad if it ended.

Even though I said this is the best episode this season, I still agree with previous comments that if the series is canceled, I wouldn't be upset over it. I think it ran its course. However, if Warren Leight was still the showrunner, I think that would be awesome! I enjoyed his episodes and it is disappointing he left at the end of Season 23. I don't care about what David Graziano is doing for the show -- I think he made it confusing (with many boring/confusing cases, constant changes of SVU detectives, etc.).

I don't care if SVU is canceled -- I wouldn't be upset. If they just keep the original Law & order and Organized Crime (hopefully it gets a Season 5 with the new showrunner), I'm good with that!
