Farewell Jack! Maybe we can still keep Sam on hand for “break in case of emergency” situations that only McCoy can handle? Surely he’ll come back as a guest as time calls for it? Definitely a wide range of emotions seeing this promo that no doubt will be even stronger come the time the episode airs. It’s definitely the end of an era as for the first time in the revival, and I’m sure we all knew it was coming but doesn’t make it any easier, there is now absolutely no connective tissue to the original run of the Mothership. What also makes it sad, Jack’s departure too, is that we only really got one full season with Sam back. Season 22. 21 was only 10 and this season will only be 13 due to the strike, still with only 5 episodes of Jack. And we never full got a full Jack moment. Sure he got the season finale of 22 but I don’t know he just hasn’t felt like Jack. He’s not Adam and it’s too bad they saw fit to write him as such. Good news is it looks like he’s back in the courtroom in his farewell. I can’t wait to see what draws him back and hope he gets his moment! I can’t help but feel a little bitter too. The SVU cast is going on and on about their 25th season, as they should mind you, but had it not been for NBC prematurely axing the Mothership back in 2010 we could possibly, and should be, on season 34!
I agree with Robert Nacci. The original should have never been canceled in the first place!
I am disappointed that (1st) Jack is leaving and (2nd) he won't at least reach the 500th episode of the series later this season (I just assume - but I hope he will at least appear in that episode).
