  1. After hearing Carisi tell Rollins about the job offer its a foregone conclusion she'll take it. The promo is very obvious on what happens with her and Carisi next. Unless they do something really stupid after that scene with her at the courthouse dressed in white, Rollins will get her happy ending.

I don't care for Det Gracy Muncy but maybe she'll grow on me. So far though I am not impresssed

  2. This was a good premise to start off dealing with the murder of a decorated detective's son who happen to be a transgender, but was unknown to the father. The investigation was good, the guest stars were also good, but what brought the episode down was the surprise new occupation of Rollins being a so-called well respected forensic psychologist which came out of nowhere and Benson's sanctimonious and hypocritical behavior towards the detective. Did anyone know that Rollins took At-Home courses to get some type of advance degree in forensics during Covid? Benson's behavior was no better, acting so self-righteous, lecturing the father about covering up evidence to protect the secret his son was hiding. She said that was a felony and that could cost him his job and maybe his pension. How many times have we seen Benson violate protocol (Zero tolerance) or interfere with police procedure to cover up a crime (Vanities Bonfire and as recent as Steps We Can't Take). Other than these two big mistakes it was a good episode.

  3. There is another big mistake in the episode which blows the ending up. Any evidence pulled from the clothing, etc. that was removed from the crime scene will not be admissible due to the break in the chain of custody. It may not actually be tainted but just the possibility of that makes it unusable as evidence.

  5. The episode has just hit the UK, I also wondered when Rollins spent years on CSI. I enjoyed the episode, but it’s a shame the drama meant Benson didn’t challenge Detective Dad on his obvious stripping of evidence long before the courtroom… I expect we all got that in two minutes flat.
