  3. Pretty sure Season 2 already exists are Chicago PD Season 1, 2 and ... whatever one it was after Voight's son died. Sounds like a rehash of the same story and character arc in a different location. Really surprised they actually decided to proceed with this in so many ways. Almost wonder if it would've been easier and cheaper to just buy-out the contracts. Going to be surprised if it makes it to S02. And it it does the demographics of the audience will be interesting. It's survival might end up exclusively dependent on old-skool SVU fans and the number of crossover eps and guest spots Hargitay does (which would also mean the show would end up costing more too, though ... so another network consideration there in renewals and contract negations, keeping in mind the overall deal Wolf already has with the network). So a shorter answer ... that it's complicated and it actually might've already been decided (even if it's not announced.

  4. @JAZ - only now coming across these posts but I thought I was the only one thinking these things. Was quite surprised they went ahead with this show- that wasn't even in production yet- at a time when other longstanding successful shows like Live PD and Cops were terminated...especially when Stabler is known to be the cop with anger issues
And yes, as a neutral observation, I always had the sense that Organized Crime was meant to be the New York version of Chicago PD dealing with a lot of intelligence gathering but maybe w more high-level criminals No heat no hate but I always saw it that way. And given the amount of effort they are putting into promoting this show (I hv never seen NBC put so much into marketing a show) I def think it is at the very least getting 2 seasons. And I agree that it's success will come mainly from the 'old school'/Stabler fans. I know there is a big chunk of the audience that didn't like the direction Leight took the show in. I'm guessing they're waiting with bated breath for this nostalgia and maybe a more crime-solving, less personal stories type of show. I think if they go this route and not one heavily focused on the Benson-Stabler dynamic they might draw some new fans especially if it doesnt require a lot of historical info about his time w SVU in order to watch it. I hope it can be its own entity separate from SVU and not feel each week like it's a 2nd hour of SVU

  5. @Chris - I respect the measured response to its premiere and waiting to decide. I'm guessing there are a lot of viewers who were ready to give glowing reviews months ago :) And not that glowing reviews won't be warranted but I just like that you're holding your applause till the end of the episode. It's why I've always preferred this site for reviews

I don't know if you'll even see this since it's an old post but as for SVU do u know if the plan is still to do 20+ episodes? April 01 will only be episode 09 which is usually around the fall finale. I'm wondering with the pandemic and everything else if this wil be a much shorter season. No prob if you don't know Just curious

  6. @Unknown - for some reason I thought there was only going to be 15 or 16 episodes. Now I can't find who or where that information came from. But it WAS going to be a short season for SVU as far as I can recall!
