  1. I believe it should be Episode 16x10

  3. Call me crazy, but I'm actually glad that it turns out Amanda was raped.
We've had a fair few storylines where characters aka Liv have nearly been raped, or something not quite rape etc etc etc. It's about time they actually deal with a character dealing with rape and get it over and done with. All the stuff with Liv was so crazy and over the top that watching her deal with it didn't have the right feel.
I really look forward to seeing this episode and seeing how Amanda copes.

    1. I agree. It was unbelievable that Benson was held for days by a serial rapist/killer and was never raped. Just not believable.

  4. 10x01? :D

But everyone kinda knew anyway, I'm hoping she's gonna get "justice" in the end tho...

  6. To be honest I thought it wouldn't be rape as everytime I think it will be it turns out it was something else.
I for one look forward to seeing how this plays out, and what happens to Olivias relationship with Rollins!

  7. When promos like this comes around I realize just how crazy invested I am, I can hardly function at work I really need to get a grip on myself.
I get what you mean @Laura J I didn't think they would go there either but it sure does look like it's not just promo monkeys giving us a good scare (&/or a reason to tune in). My heart just breaks for her, I figured it was kinda bad since she downplayed it so much in 13x8 Educated Guess, and then again in 13x22 Strange Beauty, and as we got to know Amanda a ltl better it was quite obvious she rather run in to a wall then ask for help.
This promo makes me wonder a lot tho - you think it's Barba who finally gets her to open up? I find it hard to believe she would open up to Liv with all their past tension. And it looks like she's on the stand when she says that so I wonder who will be in the courtroom? Ugh if everyone's watching her. I really wonder how Nick will react? He was somewhat awkward around Liv when she came back to work, how will this play out now that he has history with her? So many questions... is it Jan 7th yet? I'm okay with skipping both Xmas & NewYears (no, not obsessed at all)

    1. Nicks history tells us he will find a way to blame Rollins for something in some way. That's just how that characters brain works. If he was in my unit I would wash him out and find someone who can be sympathetic to the victims. Sick of that guy and his attitude.

  8. @ Petra: I'm right there with you!!! ahhh come on January!

IMO, i'm thinking Patton and this other female detective from ATL come up to NY for this conference, something happens why they're in the city, she reports it to NYPD and that's where Rollins and Co. get involved. They all know that Rollins knows Patton, so they ask her if they think he's capable of this. She opens up to help this other women who's seeking justice for what has been done to her.

I think she's in Benson's office when Dodds asks her if Patton is capable of that, but I agree, it does look like she's on the stand when she actually says she was raped. Ugh, poor Amanda.

Liv does look a little surprised as she glances over at Rollins right at the very end. Originally, I thought those scenes were actually back to back and that was her reaction to what Amanda said, but Liv looks like she's in her office, and Rollins looked like she was on the stand. hmm. Hope this will dissipate some of the tension between them.

  9. @Sarah Strickland thank you for not deeming me a freak ;)
And agree with everything you said, and since the other blonde detective gets raped (maybe?) don't you think the title is about Amanda forgiving herself for not reporting it earlier, and maybe being able to prevent it from happening?
I do hope the tension between Liv & Amanda will ease up a ltl but it would also be weird to see Liv just dropping all of that after having given Amanda the cold shoulder from the get go & totally dismissing her last season. (I don't blame Amanda for giving up idolizing Liv after what? three years? that she finally bit back wasn't at all surprising to me but I will try and be as forgiving as Amanda might be ;)
You think it's Patton's wife sitting behind him next to captain Sam? She looked way too polished to be Amanda's mother, at least the way I'm picturing her.
And can Amanda get in trouble for not reporting it? I thought cops had a duty to report everything because of the oath and all. I'm worried about that. If that's the case I really hope Sam steps up, maybe he'll say she did report it but he said 'it was nothing worth pursuing' since he was higher rank and all?
Oh I'm just going nuts with all the questions and I've still done nothing worth while at work :/

    1. Police are not obligated to report their own rape. However we are obligated to report the rape of someone else.

  10. Vim - thanks, I fixed it. I have no idea where my fingers were at on the keyboard when I typed those numbers (or where my brain was at for that matter)!

  11. Nick wasn't in the promo, which leads me to believe he won't be in the episode, Wendy, but I could be wrong. I don't particularly care if we get any Nick/Amanda scenes (I know, Petra--sacrilege, LOL), but he's the reason I watch the show, and I don't enjoy the episodes without him. In the minority, I'm guessing, given all the Amaro-haters I see out there (not on this site, but on others), but I want ALL the detectives, including Carisi, on board!

    1. I hope Amaro isn't in the episode. I'd actually like his character gone. Every single episode he victim blames. Watch the reruns. He always doubts the victim and sides with the accused. Every single time!

  12. Sorry about the double post, but good news (well, for me)! Julie Martin just confirmed on Twitter that Danny Pino's back in Forgiving Rollins:

@JulieMartinSVU Hi! And Good Morning! Quick question is @TheDannyPino in #ForgivingRollins episode? A lot of fans miss him

  14. Lol @Linda F
Happy to hear Amaro will be in ForgivingRollins. I agree on wanting to have all detectives (and preferable an amazing DA as well) in every episode.
However now I'm even more on the Rollaro train than ever (still Finanda #1 tho) cause I really want to see how Amanda copes after the revelation and to see her interact with Nick on a deeper level would be much intriguing to me. But I don't want Nick to try and 'fix' her, that's a no no, but to see her struggle with intimacy after this comes out would be very interesting.

  15. I think how Amaro handles this will be very interesting.

I too would like to see this deepen the relationship. I'm inclined to think Nick will go all "gently, gently" with her and she won't like that.

The writers have set this up well. As viewers we know that Amanda & Nick are in a relationship which on the surface appears to be just about sex. After this revelation where does it go? It is very intriguing.

Episode 12 looks like it is an "Amaro-centric" one involving his mother, sister & daughter but not Rollins (Kelli Giddish skips an ep).

    Interesting times ahead.

  16. I can't stand Amaro. He always blames the victim.
