As much as I love Mariska as Sgt. Olivia Benson, why is she the only featured character in the key art for S16? May seem petty, but its an excellent ensemble piece. Kelli Giddish, Ice-T and Danny Pino, and Raul Esparza are major players in this great cop classic.
When I got this email today, I thought it was a RIP and recognition for Robin Williams' guest star in "Authority" which happened to be SVU's 200th episode. Maybe that's coming later? If not, you're cold.
Roseanne, I limit my web site to covering the show and the main stars of the show. I don't cover the personal lives of any of the SVU guest stars and don't plan to start now. Robin William's death is certainly tragic and very distressing, but covering it on my web site would be out of place and inappropriate. I am sorry you may think that is cold, but everyone deals with the news of a death in his or her own way.
I'm going to have to agree with Chris on this one: it's HER blog and she could do as she sees fits. If Chris put on Robin, then she'll have to do the same for John Ritter and other special guest stars who passed away since. Maybe on Chris' other TV blog (I think it's I Like To Watch TV, correct me if I'm wrong?) she could do something. I have my own sites and blogs so I do understand Chris' POV for her blog
Rosanne, you must be a newbie if you don't understand this web site. It has always focused only on the regular cast members, episode synopses, recaps, photos. etc. It doesn't cover if a guest star dies or their personal lives, no matter who they are. It is not a gossip site. I agree with Chris that this would not be right to cover Robin's death here. In fact, had Chris covered it here, I would have thought she was just pandering for traffic (which in my opinion she would never do).
I would never hurl an insult like you did. I assume that you don't know Chris and what her life is like, so who are you to judge her? Just because you can be anonymous on the internet doesn't give you license to be rude. It's her web site and she cam cover what she wants, and I am grateful for the stuff she does post for the show.
Robin's death is a tragedy but it has nothing to do with the show.
Bye Roseanne dont let the door hit ya were the good lord split ya.
as for the Pic I hope they come to the realazation this isnt the Olivia benson show and she dosnt run the Unit by herself she does have help and they deserve pics to
I sure hope there will be group key art as well. My reaction was just like y'all's when I first saw it on Tmblr. Like, what the F, where's the cast!? They should've waited to release this one in my opinion, it just ticks me off, & I think all the rest of you that don't see this as the Olivia show.
And I wish I wouldn't have to write this but just so you know you have more support Chris - don't even bother with the above poster. People/posters are surely allowed to have an opinion but they don't have to be rude about it. Good riddens.
I want to add my voice to Jeannette, Laurie, Lisa, and Petra's that I appreciate Chris keeping this site what it is--a place to talk about the MAIN characters and episodes of the show.
I'm going to hope more key art comes out very soon, too. Danny Pino has been MIA all summer (having a life, how dare he, LOL), and I'm dying for new Amaro photos.
Not that everything centers around him--clearly Olivia is the heart of the show--but (trying to be as un-spoilery as possible and still be able to ask this question) I wonder if it has something to do with Nick's situation at the start of the upcoming season and his temporary substitute? Maybe they want to hold off announcing the identity of that actor as long as possible. Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteMy guess is they will follow at some later date with group key art. (At least I hope so!)

DeleteYou should rename your website because it is not All Things Law & Order. Just Some of The Main Actors Law & Order.
ReplyDeleteIt is HER blog. Just thought posting what she did after not posting anything since June being what it was, was a bit surprising.
ReplyDeleteWhatever, it's HER blog and *I* won't be reading it anymore.
Buh=Bye!
