McCormick as in Dr. Olivet? Do we suppose she could be back as Dr. O? I cannot remember when we last saw her in the L&O world.
ReplyDeleteI assume she is returning as Olivet. The character is so well known across the L&O brand that it would make sense to have her in the same role.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the squad will lose any of their own members. How many times have we seen this on this show, and nothing happens.
ReplyDeleteThe episodes sounds good, but I don't like the fact that they brought Kim back.
Wow baby! Can't wait to see this one even though it gives me knots in my stomach :/ I love Amanda Rollins and don't wanna see her in trouble again. Cragen did say he'd only give her once chance but I think you're right, no one's going anywhere (I hope!)
ReplyDeleteThis must be on of the tandem episodes they're churning out lately. I agree: they've teased us before about 'losing on of their own'. Unless one of the lead actors is planning on retiring this is just SVU hype, but it keeps the interest level high for diehard fans. Both Cragen and Munch are very conspicuous by their absence this season. I know WL has tweeted that Munch is in two February episodes. Since Huang left the tam, I think they need a strong medical doctor and I'd love to see Dr. Olivet fill that void.I bet it will be a one-off though, but I'm still looking forward to watching this episode . It seems the detectives family members exist only to keep them in work. Finn's son, God knows Olivia's brother Simon, and now Rollins' sister is filling that void..Dysfunctional families are all dysfunctional in their own way, and SVU proves this consistently.
ReplyDeleteI like the character of Rollins well enough, but I absolutely despised the ep that brought her sister into everything. While I always try to keep an open mind about upcoming eps, I sense a train wreck here. And if they use this as another, "Cragen's in danger of being fired" thing like they did with all the shenanigans El and Liv put him through, I'll be calling "BS!"
ReplyDeleteI hope Belz continues to be a part of the show for at least a couple more seasons, presuming SVU is renewed, because I'd miss John Munch terribly. And, selfishly, I also have a couple spec acripts in the works with Munch heavily involved. I'd love for one of those to at least see the light of day. (WL said that if I could submit them through an agent, he would actually READ them! The hunt for an agent is ON, baby!)
If we have to hear about the detectives' private lives, can we learn more about JM, learn something NEW about Liv, or even go back to Amaro's situation? A little bit of Rollins' sister's antics goes a long way. But that's just my opinion -- your mileage may vary. ;)
Oh, quick question: Does anyone know John's current badge number? It changed when he made sergeant.
Cardinal - Good luck on your script! As far as Munch's badge number, I don't know. He became a Sgt so long ago and I'm sure it's visible somewhere in an episode. I checked a bunch of pics I had of him and while I can sometimes see the badge I can't see the number. He's on Twitter (@MRbelzer) and if you have an account maybe try to tweet him & ask him?
ReplyDeleteOh no plz amanda dont get into trouble cuz of kim! Yes cragen has only given her 1 more chance!!!!!omg kim will be beaten up while pregnant????omg poor kim
ReplyDeleteCardinal, I do agree with you, it is annoying they leave things open with characters' private lives and then keep bringing new folk in, instead of just updating the already open ones. I've also missed Munch a lot, and good luck with the script!
ReplyDeleteWell since Lieutenant Tucker of Internal Affairs is the one looking into her actions. I think it's safe to say Amanda Rollins will be fine. :p
ReplyDeleteAlso what's the deal with this show exploring cops and lawyers with skeletons in the closet episodes all in the month of February? Did Warren Leight lose a bet or something? Or are they just trying to get this plot device out of their systems?
On one hand I didn't think much of Kim's first appearance. On the other hand maybe this episode will surprise me. It's either gonna be REALLY good, or a soap opera of a carwreck episode. There's no middle ground.
As far as Amanda shooting the abusive boyfriend, can't say she didn't warn him.
Seriously Amanda's sister is awful! So annoying can't stand her!
ReplyDeleteNot sure why my comments not posting but Amanda's sister is the most annoying person I have ever seen. She is awful. Kim Rollins yuck! Don't bring her back!!
