Law & Order SVU “Strange Beauty” Episode Information
Here are the details for a new episode of Law & Order SVU, “Strange Beuaty”
Law & Order SVU “Strange Beauty” Air Date May 16, 2012 (10 PM ET/9C Wednesday NBC)
A MISSING WOMAN LEADS ROLLINS (KELLI GIDDISH) AND THE SVU DETECTIVES INTO THE UNDERGROUND WORLD OF SELF-MUTILATION AND FETISHISM. DAVID EIGENBERG, PATRICK FISCHLER AND CONSTANTINE MAROULIS GUEST STAR.
While off-duty, Detective Rollins (Giddish) spots a young woman screaming in the back of a moving taxi. The SVU squad quickly identifies the victim as a rebellious teenager, estranged from her family and experimenting in the world of tattoos and self-mutilation. The case takes an unexpected turn when the Medical Examiner (Tamara Tunie) presents the detectives with a cleanly severed leg, reminiscent of a similar finding in an old unsolved case. The detectives are drawn into the psychological elements of self-mutilation and ritual amputation as they investigate two brothers (guest stars David Eigenberg and Patrick Fischler) in order to link the cases and find the missing woman. Also starring Mariska Hargitay (Detective Olivia Benson), Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen) and Danny Pino (Detective Nick Amaro.)

THis sounds very interesting..I would love to see more of Dr. Warner this season. We're getting down to the wire in terms of number of new S13 episodes. Also, I just read online how much the producers of The GOod Wife were planning on beefing up Kelli Giddish's role as Sophia,Kalinda's lover, and that they were disappointed to lose Ms. Giddish to SVU.Let's see more of Kelli Giddish. She was excellent on NBC's short-lived Chase.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like it would be a better case for Huang to return to than the one in Father Dearest. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteIs this the season finale or there one more episode after this??
ReplyDeleteOh my god!
ReplyDeleteIcy - the season finale is the following week.
ReplyDeleteHi! I just have a question about this episode, and I'm only asking because I've exhausted all my resources to find it myself.
ReplyDeleteThe song that's playing when Rollins and Fin go to the club to search for the woman who gives people 'elf' ears, does anyone know what it is?
I've tried every single music recognition app I could find, Googled the lyrics, and still I've got nothing. If anyone out there knows, please tell me??? :)
SparklyBookWormK - this issue came up in the discussion of the recap (link to recap is in the above post) but no one could find the name of the song or artist at that time. I just looked at that episode scene again and I can't hear lyrics clearly enough to try to identify it by the lyrics either. There is something in the credits which lists a Michael J. Leslie as composing additional music for this episode. It could be that background song but that is only a guess on my part. His web site lists him as a staff composer for Mike Post Productions so you may want to check with Mr. Leslie on this episode to see if this was his compostion. Here's his web site: http://www.michaeljleslie.com/#!credits/cnnz
ReplyDeleteIf by any chance you do find an answer, let me know!
