Here are the episode details for Law & Order UK “Survivor’s Guilt”. There is no date as yet - at least none that I can locate - for this episode airing in the UK, but it is scheduled to air in the U.S. on BBC America on September 28, 2011. This episode is billed as part 2 of the current season's finale, ”Deal”. which is airing in the UK on Sunday, August 14, 2011. (I don't know why the UK is not airing "Survivor's Guilt" the week following...one of those great mysteries of television scheduling!)
My recap and review of Law & Order UK "Survivor’s Guilt" can be found at this link.
Law & Order UK “Survivor’s Guilt” Air Date September 28, 2011 (9PM ET Wednesday, BBC America)
A drive-by shooting outside the Old Bailey leaves one police officer dead and another wounded in what appears to be a targeted attack on a witness in an attempted murder trial. However, Ronnie and the team are surprised to learn the gunman was specifically targeting police officers, believing his family victims of a police cover-up. The defense team argues their client has been subjected to racism by the police. Can Jake and Alesha convince the jury that the defendant ought to be tried as a murderer and not a victim?

ITV (UK) will probably show this episode, and the rest of the season, late 2011/early 2012, since we have a bizarre obsession with short seasons.
ReplyDeleteYep, standard ITV practice to split the seasons in two, rather than transmitting them in one continuous run.
ReplyDeleteSo what you are really saying is that the ITV season 6 is actually the second half of season 3?
ReplyDeleteThe seasons for Law & Order UK get confusing depending in which country the epispdes are being aired.
ReplyDeleteThe UK split season 1 into 2 seasons (as s1 and s2) season 2 into 2 seasons (s3 and s4), and now it seems season 3 into two seasons. In the UK, "Deal" was the end of season 5. In the US and Canada, the seasons were aired "whole" and, at least in the US, the season will continue and will show part 2 of "Deal" which is "Survivor's Guilt." I think that will be the end of season 3 in the US. (Not sure when these episodes will air in Canada).
I really don't understand why the UK didn't finish the season with "Survivor's Guilt"; right now it looks like US viewers will get to see what happens before the UK viewers.
Because ITV are stupid and think that we won't watch if they don't end on a cliffhanger.
ReplyDeleteGiven Emilia wrote the two eps to be viewed as a 2-parter, I'd be seething in her shoes.
JAMIE BAMBER BETTER LIVE/STAY ON THE SHOW OR I WILL BE VERY ANGRY!!!! Seriously, though, I would go on a rampage. He has to stay. Definitely looking forward to this episode; I wish it wasn't a month away!
ReplyDeleteI think Jaime Bamber was shot because he was cast in pilot that didn't get picked up. Hopefully he "lives."
