The USA Network has released a few images from the 2010 season premiere of Law & Order Criminal Intent, a two part episode reported to be titled “Puntland” and also be the final episodes for Vincent D’Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, and Eric Bogosian. No Eric in these photos, however, which may not bode well for Captain Danny Ross. The season premiere is scheduled to be in the spring, but USA has not yet committed to a definite date. Stay tuned!

I'm glad that Vincent is going, he's been working at half speed the past few years and I hope that he finds great work to keep him going. He's a fine actor and deserves the best parts to come his way. However, I can't see why they couldn't keep K Erbe. She dynamic and super talented. I'd watch her with a new partner or with Goldblum. Stupid NBC-Universal. I'll watch but not religiously as before.
ReplyDeleteThe sad thing is that they both look great and really involved in these photos. What made USA make such a horrible decision that none of the LOCI fans wanted? I hope someone will strongly consider guest appearances for Vincent and Kathryn. Many guest appearances. Since Comcast is taking over NBC/USA, here's hope they are fans of Goren and Eames!
ReplyDeleteLOCI takes away 3 (4 if you count Mrs. Nicholson) characters!
ReplyDeleteReplaces them with 3 (4 If you count Jeff Goldblum).
1.) Saffron Burrows
2.) M.E. Mastrantonio - supposedly
3.) Melinda McGraw - supposedly
But who am I to judge? Maybe CI will have a new line of fans. I most certainly will view CI scarcly.
You're saying that there is no definite day, but there is: it's March 2nd 2010
ReplyDeleteAs of today, USA Network has not officially committed to that date, they only keep saying it will premiere in the spring. Can you provide a link to an official source with USA that confirms March 2?
ReplyDeleteHi:
ReplyDeleteIf they let go Vincent Donofrio and Katherine Erbe, that is going to be the biggest mistake. I have been a LOCI fan for a long time, without this characters I am not going to waste my time.
The only reason I watch LOCI is because of Donofrio and Erbe. I will "leave" the show when they forced out. What a great team and what a shame to be treated this way.

I am very, very disappointed about the cast changes. I am not interested in watching without Vincent D and Kathryn E. What a terrible, idiotic decision!
ReplyDeleteCI was my favourite of the Law & Order series because of Vincent D’Onofrio. It makes me both sad and angry that L&O makes so many cast changes; particularly the wrong ones!
ReplyDeleteDonofrio IS Law and order CI! I can't believe he is leaving!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all the Donofrio Erbe comments. they are what keeps it edgy.
ReplyDeleteBig mistake. but no one really cares what the people like or want
I totally agree about the loss of the characters, especially Vincent & K. Erbe. The addition of Goldblum is a plus, but the story lines appear to be better for him than for long standing 'Goren' character. In fact, Goldblum's character is a great counter part to Goren. I'll keep hoping there will be a reversed decision.
ReplyDeleteI will not watch the show if Vincent leaves. He WAS the show.
ReplyDeleteI will miss Vincent and Kathryn ,,they are the best. Jeff Goldblum creates am interesting character however, nobody does it like D'onofrio he is the best....
ReplyDeletejanney
Well I guess it was time for me to stop watching & this desision did it for me.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe Vincent D. and K. Erbe are leaving. They made the show. Jeff G. is alright, but it won't be the same. I won't watch nearly as often now. I liked LOCI the best of the three, but guess I'll go back to LOSVU.
ReplyDeleteVincent D. is the BEST!! He makes the show my all time favorite. I wonder if it was his decision to leave...I could accept that, but not if he is being forced out. Are they crazy...why mess with something that works sooooo well?? I wish the actors the best...I don't think I can be such a big fan without them.
ReplyDeletePhyllis
Oh god...I knew this day was coming..they have no idea what they are doing by letting D'Onofrio and Erbes go. I'm done with the show..... They were the only reason why I watched. Sorry jeff goldbloom is not interesting enough for me to watch...i dont care for his character....its like watching a Det. GOREN knockoff...a bad knockoff! Well time to find a new show to watch. It just wont be the same without them
ReplyDeleteHey there! Just found this site. Since our favorite characters are "leaving", maybe all of the fans should notify LOCI and the network, that WE TOO are LEAVING!
ReplyDeleteWe should register our displeasure in numbers.
LOCI just lost another viewer after Goren and Eames are written out. They were the show! Shame on USA network for letting such an excellent show become mediocre by casting out beloved characters.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand Jeff Goldblum!!!!!!!!!!!! With Goren gone, there is no show. I am walking out on this show.
ReplyDeleteBobby and Alex were the absolute best!Goren was so crazy and unconventional-sensitive but relentless;understanding but so brilliantly focused. And Eames! What a tough little broad-a GREAT cop;the perfect foil for Goren. I truly will miss them...Goren's free associations and his cocked neck, thrusting his face into a suspect's personal space. And his interactions with Nicole Wallace! The BEST!Damn Declan for killing her! All the best for D'Onofrio and Erbe..MAYBE...they could come back as consultants periodically??? PLEASE???
ReplyDeleteWe just watched the final show for Goren and Eames and it is the last time we will watch L&A CI. What a disappointment.
ReplyDeleteI have watched this show since it started and I have to say that I was VERY UNHAPPY that they got rid of Goren and Eames. I will NO LONGER wacth this show. They were the show and no one can replace them. April was 6th is the last time I will watch it unless they bring back Goren and Eames.
ReplyDeleteI cant believe that the show got rid of Goren and Eames, They were the show and I will on longer watch this show and it is sad because I have watched it from the start. I dont see this show making it without the D'Onofrio and Erbe. BIG MISTAKE, Just lost another Viewer
ReplyDeleteWatched my last episode- had been recording for the last few seasons so I could delete the ones without Goren and Eames - thought they had come to their senses when I started watching the season opener - but - in my opinion - the Goren and Eames characters are the show- I tune in to watch them - not just some detective show - they might as well change the name- I love Jeff Goldblum but Law and Order CI is about the quirkiness of Goren - not Goldblum - destroyed a perfectly good show
ReplyDeleteNot only are Goren and Eames gone, which is enough for me to stop watching right there, but the new show features bland actors, dumbed-down plot line, and THE WORST loud, headache-producing music I've ever heard. Such a shame. My favorite show died a horrible and sudden death.
ReplyDeletei am still in shock that Goren & Eames are gone,if it was their request i am happy for them, but if nbc/usa made this decision it was ridiculous,LOCI has always been my favorite of the three and i will not watch anymore;last night i watched the FX program Justified and will continue to do so unless Goren & Eames are brought back
ReplyDeleteI am in the midst of watching this weeks episode (4/26). The acting is horrendous, especially the character actors. the plot line is contrived and pathetic this is NOT the Law and Order CI I have come to love!!!!!!!!
