Viewers in the US are well accustomed to the themes and opening credits for the various shows in the Law & Order franchise. But, just to stir things up here, I’ve collected some of the themes and title credits for some of the Law & Order, Criminal Intent, and SVU shows as they appear in the United Kingdom. (I had already posted the SVU UK version back in April, here, but I also included it below just to have all of them in one place.)
No offense to Mike Post and his U.S. theme versions…but I really like the choices made for the UK themes, and the manner that the characters - such as Sam Waterston, Vincent D'Onofrio, Chris Noth, and the others - are presented in the opening credits.

Very nice. I like the banner! My fave banner is your these are their stories. Great post as always.
Thanks samfan, the only problem is that the new pic is missing a few "key" people so I am trying to rework it if I can to fix that!
Fixed the banner to get Sam in. I just can't have a banner without Sam!
I like the UK theme music for LO:CI very much. It has a poignancy to it, with a downward progression of minor chords, that seems to mirror the show's (basically!) rather gloomy view of life.
In contrast, I am still struggling to get used to the re-working of Mike Post's original theme now the show has moved to the USA Network. It sounds so 'Wham! Bamm! Look at me!', as though it feels it has to go over the top to attract viewers' attention.
Lozzie cap, I agree with you on the "new" LOCI theme that USA is using. That was actually first used as the "Law & Order Trial By Jury" theme, and I didn't like it then, either!
