Who wrote the ep, do you know?
ReplyDeleteThe credits listed Neal Baer and Amanda Green as writers.
ReplyDeleteRook recited a poem in the court room. Do you remember the author of the poem or a line from it? Anything? I'm trying to find it online, but I'm drawing a blank.
ReplyDeleteI'm drawing a blank too on the poem. Sorry!
ReplyDeletethe poem by Wendell Berry is actually a passage from his writing, Manifesto: The Mad Farmer Liberation Front. He quotes a passage from the opening paragraph, the entirity is here: http://www.context.org/ICLIB/IC30/Berry.htm
ReplyDeletedo you know what the detective was talking about after he ended up at the no sheep rally? He said something about growing up in the 60s and thinking acid and peace would cure the world but I dont kno the exact quote
ReplyDeleteI just saw this episode today for the first time. If you like trivia, you'll enjoy this.
ReplyDeleteThe episode (very loosely) followed the story of the strip searches that occurred at McDonald's.....and most prominently at a McDonald's in Bullitt County, Kentucky.
Robin Williams stars as the accused and chooses to act as his own attorney at trial. In his summation to the jury he offers a quote from "great American poet Wendell Berry". Wendell Berry is my cousin's father-in-law.
I don't know if the Bullitt County, Kentucky incident coupled with reference to a Kentucky author was intentional by the writers or just a strange coincidence. The show is based in NYC and Mr. Berry taught at NYU a million years ago....so who knows.
