Anthony Anderson will be returning to Law & Order, reprising his role as Detective Kevin Bernard. Hugh Dancy is also joining the cast as an assistant district attorney. It was previously reported that Jeffrey Donovan will also be joining the cast as a detective.

I'm surprised he's still listed as a detective. I thought he'd be in charge of the detectives.
Wow, that is a surprise. After his success with Blackish, I thought that he would stay with comedy. I'm guessing Hugh Dancy is the EADA, and if so, they still need to find second chair along with the police's commanding officer. A smart move would be to bring in Kathryn Erbe as captain.
Now that the announcement's come in, Camryn Manheim is a pretty solid choice (though I'm still confused about what happened with her in SVU Season 1). All that's left is the ADA role. I hope Lindsey Shaw is on their radar, she would be perfect.
