Law & Order, SVU New Episodes, Week Of October 11, 2009 + 1 More

First and foremost – don’t forget to watch tonight’s episode of Law & Order, “Great Satan” which airs at 8:00 PM ET on NBC.

The upcoming episode of Law & Order SVU “Hammered” will feature guest star Scott Foley. Law & Order “Reality Bites” stars a lot of comics but isn’t a comedy. It features a fictional reality show called “Larry Plus Ten,” loosely based on Jon and Kate Gosselin's reality show, plus a touch of the Octomom, Nadya Suleman.

Episode information has been released for the new October 23 episode of Law & Order, titled “Dignity,” and the details are also listed below.

Law & Order SVU “Hammered” Air Date 10/014/2009 (9 PM ET/ 8C Wednesday)
A WOMAN IS FOUND BRUTALLY MURDERED, AND THE MAIN SUSPECT IS A RECOVERING ALCOHOLIC WHO CAN’T REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED.


After a night of heavy drinking, Dalton Rindell (guest star Scott Foley) wakes up to a bloody apartment, a terrible cut on his head and a dead woman in his bed. Unable to recall the night before, Rindell immediately calls the police. Detectives Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) suspect the crime is the result of a deadly love triangle; however Rindell does not recognize the victim. After questioning Rindell and the victim’s family and friends, Benson and Stabler are provided with leads in several different directions. Unsure which lead to follow, the two detectives decide to return to the bar where the night began in order to piece together the gruesome truth. Also starring: Richard Belzer (Detective John Munch), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Tamara Tunie (Dr. Melinda Warner), and B.D. Wong (Dr. George Huang).

Law & Order “Reality Bites” Air Date 10/16/2009 (8 PM ET/7C Friday)
WHEN A MOTHER OF TEN ADOPTED SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN IS FOUND DEAD, THE DETECTIVES UNCOVER AN AFFAIR AND A REALITY TV SHOW OFFER


When Larry Johnson (Guest Star Jim Gaffigan) drives home from picking up his adopted, physically disabled children from school, he discovers his wife’s dead body on the floor of their home. Detectives Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson) question Vaughn, who explains that he and his wife had adopted a child with special needs and felt it was their calling, so they adopted nine more children. While the detectives question the children for suspects and a motive, they uncover an affair and an offer for the Vaughn family to appear in a reality show causing tension in the household and with another family.
Also starring: S. Epatha Merkerson (Lieutenant Anita Van Buren), Sam Waterston (District Attorney Jack McCoy), Alana De La Garza (Connie Rubirosa), and Linus Roache (Michael Cutter).

A LATE-TERM ABORTION DOCTOR IS MURDERED AND A PRO-LIFE PROTESTOR IS INVESTIGATED.


When Dr. Walter Benning (Guest Star Matthew Boston) is killed in church, Detectives Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson) arrive at the scene and are informed a white male was seen fleeing in a dark sedan. The minister, (Guest Star Michael Hollick), tells the detectives that Dr. Benning was a late-term abortion doctor and had been shot at before and threatened many times; and his wife, Phyllis Benning (Guest Star Tracy Sallows), is convinced it is a pro-life zealot who is responsible. While the detectives scan the several protestor suspects, Lieutenant Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson) gets more bad news and ADA Connie Rubirosa (Alana de la Garza) faces a moral dilemma causing tension among the team. Also starring: S. Epatha Merkerson (Lieutenant Anita Van Buren), Sam Waterston (District Attorney Jack McCoy), Alana De La Garza (Connie Rubirosa), and Linus Roache (Michael Cutter).

Interesting...didn't the mother ship do an epesode similar to Hammered a few years back? Though in that epesode it was a detective waking up to find a girl dead in his place.

Yes, the episode was called "Hindsight" and was about Detective Nick Falco (Michael Imperioli) waking up finding a girl dead in his apartment.

Just from watching the opening scenes, it seems as if "Reality Bites" is more based on the murders of Byrd and Melanie Billings, the couple in Florida who adopted special needs kids. Just pointing it out.
