Law & Order, L&O SVU Episodes for the Week of November 16th

Here is the episode information for Law & Order and Law & Order SVU for the week of November 16. I also have included information for a new episode of SVU for December. And, for all you nitpickers out there, I have a question for you at the end of this blog entry.

Law & Order SVU “Wildlife” Air Date November 18, 2008

DETECTIVE ELLIOT STABLER (CHRIS MELONI) JEOPARDIZES HIS MARRIAGE WHEN HE GOES UNDERCOVER TO INFILTRATE AN ANIMAL SMUGGLING RING WITH DETECTIVE OLIVIA BENSON (MARISKA HARGITAY) POSING AS A PROSTITUTE.

Detective Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) arrives on the scene of a murder to find a young woman brutally killed, and carrying a rare bird species found dead in her purse. Dr. Melinda Warner (Tamara Tunie) comes back with some startling evidence – the saliva found in the cuts on the victim’s body shows she was mauled by a tiger. Oscar Assadorian (guest star Carlos Leon) leads the detectives to the victim’s twin sister, Anna Bleers (guest star Caitlin Fitzgerald) who in turn leads the detectives to Hip Hop artist, Gots Money (guest star Big Boi). Gots, who admits to working for an animal smuggling ring, agrees to go undercover with Detective Stabler to catch the smugglers, Andre Bushido (guest star Andrew Divoff) and Tybor (guest star Reg E. Cathey). But when Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) poses as a prostitute to help out her partner undercover, Detective Stabler finds himself wounded and his marriage in disarray. Also starring: Richard Belzer, Dann Florek, Ice-T, Michaela McManus, and B.D. Wong

Law and Order “Lost Boys” Air Date November 19, 2008

DETECTIVES CYRUS LUPO (JEREMY SISTO) AND KEVIN BERNARD (ANTHONY ANDERSON) INVESTIGATE A 17-YEAR-OLD BOY’S MURDER, UNCOVERING MUCH BIGGER SECRETS--

A teenage boy Luke Friendly (Guest Star Tolan Aman), banished from a polygamist sect finds himself alone in New York City when his older brother, Caleb Friendly (Guest Star Colton Parsons) disappears and is then found brutally murdered. The case leads Lieutenant Anita Van Buren (S. Epatha Merkerson) and Detectives Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard (Anthony Anderson) to the church’s controversial leader, Landon Wyatt (Guest Star Colm Meaney), who is in pursuit of his teenage runaway wife, Michelle Landon (Guest Star Jenna Malone). While Detectives investigate further, they discover a romantic relationship between Michelle Landon and the victim. Executive Assistant D.A. Michael Cutter (Linus Roache) and Assistant D.A. Connie Rubirosa (Alana De La Garza) must fight to defend Michelle’s wishes to remain free from her husband and also bring to justice Caleb’s murderer. Also stars Sam Waterston.

My recap and review of “Lost Boys “ can be found here.

And, to give you some advance notice, episode information for another Law & Order SVU epsiode has been released for December. (You know, I hate some of the names they give some of these epsiodes. It makes me wonder exactly what kind of ads will show up on my web pages because of it!)

Law & Order SVU “Smut” Air Date December 9, 2008

Kelly Sun (guest star Kelly Hu) is found wandering Riverside Park, beaten and raped, and has no memory of what happened. Detective Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) discovers Sun was on her way to Korea, but never boarded her flight and instead is found leaving the airport with mystery man, Eric Lutz (guest star Michael Trucco). Lutz becomes an immediate suspect, and with further probing, the detectives find amateur pornographic videos on Lutz's computer. Detective Elliot Stabler (Chris Meloni) and Detective Benson search for incarcerating evidence against Lutz, but each of his victims from the videos suffer from memory loss from the attack. Attempting to trace the other women in the videos, the detectives must re-inform each victim of their attack in order to get their testimony to catch Lutz. Struggling to remind each victim of their rape, Detective Benson must face the fact that she still thinks like a victim, and get the testimony of one victim in particular, Laurel Andrews (guest star Christy Pusz), to put Lutz away for good. Also starring: Richard Belzer (Detective John Much), Dann Florek (Captain Donald Cragen), Ice-T (Detective Odafin Tutuola), Michaela McManus (A.D.A Kim Greylek), Tamara Tunie (Dr. Melinda Warner), and B.D. Wong (Dr. George Huang).

Now, here's my question. Can anyone confirm whether Michaela McManus’ character’s last name is spelled GRAYleck or GREYleck? The original NBC announcement listed it as Grayleck , as well as some of the entries on IMDB.com, but some NBC episode details show it as Greyleck. Maybe she won’t be on the show long enough for me to really care, but the inconsistency is somewhat annoying.

I'm going with Greylek, since that's the NBC.com spelling. Honestly, I'm getting annoyed by the spelling confusion, too. Show her name in something, SVU producers!

Still, Kelly Hu. At least, I now have reason to watch.

Oh, for some reason, "Lost Boys" is going to air instead of "Zero" this coming week (this was on "Challenged"'s credits). I don't know why, as "Zero" fits next week's 'Green Week' promotion. Oh, well. NBC is silly.

Just thought you'd want to know.

They've already showed Greylek's name in the episode 'Swing'. On one of the "doink doink" cards you can read : 'Office of Assistant District Attorney Kim Greylek'.

Wow, what a mess... IMDb works in a similar way as a wiki; everyone can contribute to it. I could make an account on IMDb and add new info about episodes. It must be difficult to keep track of all new information. Besides NBC hasn't been totally helpful either about the new ADA's name. I believe that the first name that came forward was 'Pietta O'Mara'. I remember that this name was on IMDb for a long time as well.

One more thing on another subject. The Canadian Network CTV airs the L&O season 19 episodes a day before NBC. Might be nice for the real McCoy addicts to get their shot one day earlier. ;)

Btw. thanks for your continued effort to give us new info about the upcoming shows. I always check your blog, before I check NBC's listings :).

Greetings, Patricia

Thanks Patricia for all your help here! I am still struggling with the idea if I should go back and fix all my blog entries where I spelled her name wrong. My head spins just thinking about it!

lawandorder.wikia.com said...

That would be a very tedious job... I can imagine that your head spins when thinking about it. Fortunately she doesn't have a big role on SVU and isn't really that important. You know what... I think the brass should get rid of her all together no matter how her name is spelled ;).

Oh, I missed the timecard, there. There you go. Then again, the timecards are an afterthought to me.

As for re-editing her name, I'd wait until the season is over, myself, as you'll have more time to sort. Besides, the fandom won't care much. So, you might be able to get away with it (claim laziness or busy ness). Heh.

imdb.com can be silly, yet so useful.
